Things that can make you smile on a Monday morning
I never did mind Mondays, I’ve always resigned myself to a long rubbish week, so things can’t get any worse
Things that can make me smile though, firstly getting Flickr integrated with the site, so now my Pics page is a direct feed from Flickr, that can also be automatically updated from iLife at home! Also, the quote below is a classic -
I’m a godmother, that’s a great thing to be, a godmother. She calls me god for short, that’s cute, I taught her that.
– Ellen DeGeneres
That made me smile.
Now the 2 hour Business Development meeting with the client Directors and the review of a paper on eDRMS I’ve got to learn and present has taken the shine off….maybe it’s OK to have a Latte to ease myself in to the morning

OK, firstly installed the Flickr Gallery plugin (http://co.deme.me/projects/flickr-gallery/), then opened an account with Flickr (didn’t have one before), applied for an API Key (you can link to that from the Flickr Gallery plugin page).
The API key came through immediately, though it didn’t work for the first few days, I’d actually given up on it…they must manually approve them in a queue.
Transfered some details from the API Key to the Plug-in page, set the photos in Flickr with public permissions (though you don’t have to). Inserted the tag [flickr_gallery] into a page, and it worked!
Things to watch out for –
)
Setting the API key from Web to Desktop seemed to unblock some issues
There’s a link on the Plugin page to set Wordpress as a known access point in Flickr (a kind of ‘Allow Application’ OK button)
Don’t think it’s broken when you try to access from work and the images are missing (it’s just the company blocking Flickr access in my case
Give us a shout if you have any problems, I’ll then look confused and try to say something technical and unhelpful that I don’t understand.
